Notes & Combos

Second time making KOG with Speedroids out of plain fun of piloting the deck, it's been a while since the last one but the meta has been really taking a heavy toll on my experience. I had to pull out Speedroids again however.

I haven't much to add here but the only two cents I got is:

  1. Do not sleep on Shock Surprise, it's quite versatile. I'd say if there is anything you can cut from this list though, it could be this card. For me, I left it in because it saved my skin more times than I wanted it to be out of my hand. Kitedrake field negate into Shock Surprise (and maybe Cyber Slash effect) is one **** of a play, trust.
  2. Hagoita is the heart of this version, @Eaglehuntt is who made me consider dropping Rider and Puzzle and despite how distasteful it seemed at first, I have to say I am completely sold on this version right here, it just plays better.

That's about it, really. I picked this version up from Legend 3 with a rank-down, and got all the way up to KOG in (almost) a clean sweep with a 13 killstreak. (A Blue-Eyes player pulled on my brakes cause I didn't activate Hagoita to stop him from synchro-ing into Spirit)

Below are some replays to showcase some plays, but nothing is absolute. I learnt this version as I went and just cooked.

Goodluck with your climb fellow Speedroid enthusiasts!

Thanks for the shoutout! This deck is great I’m glad that you were able to pilot it well. The Hagoita game plan is very different than the old one, so I understand why people are hesitant to try it out. The shock surprise is a great tech card and I definitely see the utility in it! Nice work.

The man, the myth, the legend! I'd like to thank you too for the inspiration, this version honestly felt really smooth to pilot and I had tons of fun with it! I am a firm believer of the Hagoita game plan now, honestly. Thank you once again, and congrats on your climb too!

Haha thanks! I just watched some of your replays and they were insane. You taught me a lot about the deck too, the board from the S-Force replay was crazy. I’m not sure if you saw my speedroid advanced guide on YouTube, (it’s linked in my latest speedroid deck list) but I’ll definitely be making a follow up video analyzing your replays next week. I recorded your replays on my phone but try not to delete them so I can record them on my computer when I have some time!

Thank you so much!! I tried my best! It's a real honor to know that I helped you out! During those 13 games I really started to adapt to the deck, and all the plays I made overtime led up to that board in the rank-up, hah. It truly was something else. I wanted to watch your guide but I actually had no time, I will check it out ASAP! I'll also make sure not to delete the replays or overwrite them so you may use them as you like, I'd be beyond happy! If I can make that easier somehow, let me know.

Could it work with just 2 taketomborg ?

Definitely, yup! Plenty of lists use 2 Taketomborg, so I doubt there's any issue with that; Sometimes it can even help with not ending up with two in your hand which can be very awkward. Personally I use 3 because of the consistently it provides.
