Notes & Combos
As someone who KOG'd with Blue Tooth back when it first dropped, I could not be more happier with this skill. Not only do I get to play Red Boot, my all time favorite Rush monster, but the unconditional 400 ATK drop is absolutely massive for the already existing Blue Tooth game plan. This, in combination with Rightful Magic, can drop any threat by 1000, allowing Blue Tooth to hit the 2500 benchmark.
While we are sad to lose the flipping effects of Bitrate Burst, which was huge going second to break boards, Flip Dragon does a great job at opening the frontlines for big damage. Flip Dragon isn't as good right now; while it is useful against the low DEF threats like Prima Guitarna, it will get better once we get more Type-specific battle Traps, as well as breaking Equip Spells when they come into the game, so I'm not too hard pressed.
Star Replacer joins the 2 above at a 2 monster ratio. I really like this trio, but I think they start to clog and become redundant. Replacer on its own is so good that I wouldn't want to cut it to max on the Flip/Flap, so this was the compromise I made, allowing me to have semi consistent access to either of the three effects without stepping on toes.
Dragon's Fortitude and Siesta Hold are filler. The former is really good when you can start sticking the Level 4+ bodies in the GY, but don't do much with the FlipFlap Restart package. Still, a free +1 is too good to pass up, and it's nice to put threats back in rotation in the late game, even when it isn't outting a monster. Siesta Hold is a funny tech choice. I tried a lot of options here, including Dragon's Inferno, Card Restoration, Buffered Slime, and Heavenly Bliss.
I ended up with Siesta Hold here as a way to assist in cutting off CAN:D, Metarion, and Zwijo Normal Monster plays. It isn't the greatest, as it can be played around, but it hasn't been in the meta consciousness for a while, so it can be huge when it resolves. It's a bit unfortunate against Cydra, but you can get a Proto-Cyber if you're lucky. I would like to experiment with it a bit more as I added it late into my KOG run and I didn't see it as often as I would like in the match ups it was good in.
