Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

From Essence of Combustion, comes the Azure of Destruction! Burst from the Flames, Analyze Phlogiston!

About 90% of my climb was with 2 Phlogistons and 1 Salamander which is why this took longer than I hoped for. But thanks to this, I was able to get a whole lot of replays either with or without Phlogiston.

Why 40 cards? It started as a 30 card build but trying to make Phlogiston work more consistently had me adding and removing cards and before I knew it I maxed out on space. (It also felt better in the grind games as you wouldn't have to worry about decking out as much).

Why this many backrow? You probably already guessed this one. Since we're playing a 40 card deck we need to play more to see more. But there's also the case where Phlogiston always needs to rip a spell/trap from your hand as a cost. So not seeing one when you need it most can suck.

And lastly, why play Phlogiston? I can't really justify playing it over your other boss monsters. For whatever reason, I had trouble getting Chemicalize Salamander and it started off as a replacement. But I ended up enjoying the games where I pulled off it's effect. It can really pop off vs decks like Gaia (especially pure and Hero variants) where most of the bosses are Lv7 and below.

Note Flavor Inspector and Nitro hound in this list are meant to make Phlogiston more flexible to use. Also Inspector gets the skill live too.
