The major difference here between Roar (the really powerful Omni negate that broke DL) and shooting Quasar Dragon is Speed Spell. Roar was a counter trap, and therefore could only be responded to other counter traps which isn’t commonly played. Quasar is a regular Quick Effect, and therefore you can respond to its Omni with a breakthrough Skill or a Fiendish Chain to save yourself.

Add the fact that very few decks could probably summon it consistently and the few decks that could summon it consistently are probably prone to interaction that prevents it from being summoned in the first place. And it becomes fine.

I disagree, the story of 5Ds is at the point the Z-One was the only reasonable one for 5Ds. As for DM, if you’ve ever looked at the DM gate, it’s full, no more space for characters. GX on the other hand is probably going to be taking a back seat for a bit. It’s getting full.
